FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

The project is the design of a public water feature in the centre of Athens. We did not want to create another static fountain, a public object of adoration, but a visit able structure that would appear like a mythical enclosure detached from pragmatic doctrines and closer to the realm of the dream. The fountain changes periodically in elevation as the amoeba triangle tray is detached from the ground and is elevated 4 meters above revealing a hidden visit able cavity. The tranquil pond becomes a dramatic waterfall and kinesis succeeds stasis as light succeeds darkness. Athens does not only crave for hope and vision but also for the resurrection of the dream.
